Blairgowrie, Rattray & District Angling Association

Notice to Members & Guests

5th May 2018

After discussion at the Annual General Meeting in 2017, those present voted and agreed that unless fees charged to members increased then the Associations finances would start to decrease annually in proportion to the decline in membership numbers resulting in the demise of the Association in due course. In order to maintain the continuation of the Association both financially and with healthy membership numbers without unduly increasing fees it was agreed that increasing membership numbers by opening up the membership to anglers outside of the current qualifying area of PH10  was a viable option.
This development will allow new members from postcode areas PH11, PH12 & PH13 to contribute with the same rules, terms and access to all aspects of the association enjoyed by current members. Initially new member’s numbers from these postcodes will be limited to a combined total of 50 on a first come first served basis. The payment of membership and annual subscription fees by members from the new qualifying postcodes at the same prices as current association members will help restore the well-being of the association.

Membership anglers will also welcome the new arrangement with the owners of the West Grange Fishings (Rattray Bank) whereby Association anglers will have access to waters on the Ericht on a beat rotation basis and on the Blairgowrie bank above the Blairgowrie Bridge. More details are available in tackle shops and on website concerning beats, rotas and other information required.

Anglers outside of the qualifying postcodes will continue to have access as guests.
